In the wake of a cosmic catastrophe, the Apocalyptics story unfolds within the shattered remnants of a world forever changed. When a colossal meteorite slammed into the Australian continent, it unleashed a chain reaction of devastation. Australia was wiped out, and natural disasters soon followed: tsunamis, earthquakes, and wildfires ravaged the Earth, plunging the world into chaos and despair.

The meteorite's arrival carried a deadly surprise: a highly toxic substance of unknown origin. This alien material, dubbed Apocalypseium or APOC, spread across the planet, enveloping it in a lethal shroud. The aftermath was a world scarred by war, as rogue nations vied for the precious resources of fresh water, arable land, and livestock that had become increasingly scarce. A nuclear conflict erupted, leaving the planet a desolate wasteland.

Now, our story begins in the distant Andes, a land where survivors cling to existence amid the world's longest mountain range. Home to glaciers, volcanoes, grasslands, deserts, lakes, and forests, this rugged terrain serves as the backdrop for the remnants of humanity. Though far from the meteorite's point of impact, the Andes bore the brunt of the fallout, yet it also offered the highest chances of survival..

The toxic fallout eventually began saturating every landmass and ocean, with what scientists started calling Apocalypseium or APOC for short, mainly due to the Apocalyptic events that it brought about. APOC is not deadly upon exposure, but it has extreme mutating attributes. It affects the very fabric of anything it encounters. 

APOC's mysterious properties have reshaped life as we know it. Found in gaseous, liquid, and solid forms, it mutates living beings and inanimate objects alike. The gaseous state is the most destructive, altering the very DNA of those who breathe it in, while the liquid state promotes the growth and resilience of plant life. However, liquid APOC showed mutating properties with terrifying results... APOC's Solid form is extremely rare and hard to find let alone study, as it is only found at the epicentre of the meteorite’s ground zero! It has been rumoured that titan beasts roam the land where the meteorite crashed. Anyone who tried to explore those lands has never made it back, and were never seen or heard of again. 

Scientists theorise that solid APOC is so powerful in its properties, that a single gram is capable of sustaining a city for centuries! Some heavily financed rogue groups that survived the initial meteorite crash, have tried for many years to synthesize the fabled solid form of APOC, but to no avail. 

In the Apocalyptics meta-verse, all living creatures and objects have absorbed Apocalypseium, affecting their rarity and power. Common NFTs possess minimal APOC absorption, while Legendary and Mythic NFTs exhibit the highest levels. The Ultimate Coin, having absorbed the greatest quantity of APOC, is the most sought-after artifact of all.

In this post-apocalyptic world, survivors must contend with mutated creatures and hostile environments, as well as the ever-present threat of rival factions seeking to control the elusive power of solid APOC.
